My name is Rick Flori, I have been happily married to my wife of 27 years Cher and have 3 grown children of whom I am incredibly proud. Mitch (24) a pharmacist studying medicine, Xander (22) a business student and Sarah (19) a nursing student.
I am a resident of Ashmore where I am running for a Queensland Senate seat. I came into the media spotlight as a police officer who has proven to have the interests of the community at heart for almost 30 years.
The majority of my service in the QPS has been south eastern Queensland, where I have first hand experience of what needs to be done to to improve life for the every day person that lives here.
Education:
- Master of Business Administration.
- Post Graduate Diploma of Management
- Diploma of Public Safety Policing
I stand for honesty, openness and transparency at any cost, and have stood by my values in multiple court appearances in recent years. I understand the plight of those in the community who have been wrongly done by, and people that feel they have no where to go at any level of government to have their voice heard or requests seriously considered.
I have the fortitude to make your voice known to the government of the day. I don’t take no for an answer and I don’t back down, particularly not to bullies.
I have worked in policing, tourism, transport and the mining industry and feel I have an appreciation for the concerns for all demographics. I am also excited about the prospects of being of service to you all for the years to come.
